Snow credits her accomplishments to hard work and the support of her family. She draws inspiration from her mother and considers her a personal hero and role model.
“I am the product my family’s guidance, and the sailors that have impacted me throughout my career," Snow said. "I will strive to use the knowledge I’ve gained to best serve them and all my future sailors.”
After completing basic training in 2007, Snow served at multiple sea and shore commands throughout her career.
She started in Japan at Naval Command Telecommunications Station (NAVCOMTELSTA) Far East, earned her Enlisted Surface Warfare qualification onboard USS Halsey, hull swapped to USS Russell, served on shore duty at Hopper Information Services Center and reported to IWTS Yokosuka for instructor duty.
After commissioning, Snow will return to the U.S. for extensive training at multiple sites including Information Warfare Training Command (IWTC) Virginia Beach, Virginia; Officer Training in Newport, Rhode Island; and both NAVCOMTELSTA and IWTS in San Diego.
Upon completion, she reports to her ultimate duty station onboard USS Abraham Lincoln homeported in Norfolk, Virginia, where she will serve her first commissioned tour as the ship’s communications officer.
Snow is a graduate of Maryland University College where she received an associate's degree in general studies and is currently working on her bachelor's in network management and security.
Snow's mother, Karen, father, Neil, sister, Jasmine, and fiancé, Paul, were all in attendance for the ceremony.
