MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Military Working Dogs Lio and Biba from Holland, Netherlands, serve the U.S. Navy as Patrol and Drug Detector Dogs at Naval Support Activity Mid-South.
As Patrol and Drug Detector Dogs, Lio and Biba are responsible for looking for contraband and deterring illegal activities.
From jumping out of planes to deploying at sea, Military Working Dogs have been serving the Armed Forces since 1942. They are trained to seek out enemies while on deployment and to be the first line of defense for their units. To ensure mission readiness, training is year-round and includes obedience, building search, scouting, bite work and detection.
