NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS - A 1986 Polson High School graduate and Polson, Montana, native is promoted to U.S. Navy Captain.
U.S. Navy Reserve Capt. Michael D. Reiners (right), currently serving for 21 years, is the Director of Contingency Contracting with Combined Joint Task Force-Hoa Contingency Contracting Office, Camp Lemonnier, Northern Mariana Islands.
Combined Joint Task Force conducts military operations, activities, and exercises to defeat violent extremist organizations and transnational threats, and to strengthen the operational and institutional capabilities of East African partner nation militaries to promote security and stability within each country’s borders and throughout the region.
Reiners earned a bachelor's degree in 1991 from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland.
He is the son of Clifford H. Reiners of Kalispell, Montana and Jackie Ladner of Polson, Montana.
