PENSACOLA, Fla. - Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA) announced its Junior Sailor of the Quarter (JSOQ) at an awards ceremony April 18.
Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Marco Alob, a native of Honolulu, was recognized as JSOQ serving as a leading petty officer at CNRMA in Norfolk, Virginia.
"The saying ’life doesn’t have a meaning but you gotta give meaning to life’ means a lot to me especially coming from being injured and being on limited duty status, this gives me the opportunity to show what I’m capable of and that no matter how hard I get hit and fall I will always bounce back and hit harder,” said Alob.
Alob has served in the Navy for three years and is the son of Camilo and Crestina Alob, also of Honolulu.
