As a student at NATTC, Alvarado is serving among sailors and Marines developing the skills needed to be successful naval aviation warfighters.

Students at NATTC are taught the requirements and skills needed to be successful in their new careers.

Alvardo joined the Navy four months ago. Today, Alvardo serves as an aviation electronics technician.

“I joined the Navy because I wanted to better myself, be with like-minded individuals and experience everything it has to offer me,” said Alvardo “I’m going to use this as a stepping stone to try to become a Navy SEAL.”

According to Alvardo, the values required to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in The Woodlands.

“Growing up, I learned the self-discipline and dedication that it takes to improve yourself and to make every day better than the day before,” said Alvardo.

NATTC’s mission is to provide world class professional aviation warriors to the Navy fleet supporting combat readiness anywhere on the globe, while taking good care of our people, families and being good neighbors and stewards in the city of Pensacola and the surrounding region.

The training center’s leaders and experts develop, deliver and leverage technology to optimize performance of our Navy, Marine Corps and foreign national students. We provide the most up-to-date and relevant training available to our sailors and Marines ensuring Naval aviation’s success.

Serving in the Navy means Alvardo is part of a team that is taking on new importance in America’s focus on rebuilding military readiness, strengthening alliances and reforming business practices in support of the National Defense Strategy.

“The Navy is vital to national defense because of its ability to be anywhere at any time and protect everything this country stands for,” said Alvardo.

Alvardo and the sailors they serve with have many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during their military service.

“My proudest accomplishment is knowing that I’m able to help my fellow shipmates with anything,” said Alvardo. “I’m also proud of the ability to earn their respect from those I work with.”

As Alvardo and other sailors continue to train and perform the mission they are tasked with, they take pride in serving their country in the United States Navy.

“To me serving in the Navy means more than just putting on a uniform,” added Alvardo. “It’s the feeling of those that have devoted their lives to serve as the one percent of this great country. As service members, we protect the freedom and democracy of this great Nation and I’m proud to be a part of this organization.”
