MILLINGTON, Tenn. – During the Montgomery, Alabama Navy Week, April 1 – 7, sailors from across the nation volunteered throughout the community and shared how they provided the Navy the nation needs.

One of these sailors was Ensign Tevin Clark who graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2023 with a Master's in Project Management.
Clark joined the Navy 15 years ago.
"I joined the Navy to travel the world and to continue a family tradition of service," said Clark.
Today, Clark serves as a Human Resources officer with Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Jacksonville, Florida.
"The best part about my job is helping new sailors through the recruitment process and giving them the tools necessary to have a successful career," said Clark.
According to Navy officials, NTAG Jacksonville's mission is to leverage an inspirational culture that informs, attracts, influences and hires the highest quality candidates from America's diverse talent pool. This goal ensures the success of America's Navy and establishes the foundation for sailors to thrive in a life-changing experience.
Montgomery Navy Week featured in-person demonstrations, performances, and engagements throughout the week including:
Namesake sailors – Sailors serving aboard USS Montgomery (LCS 8), a littoral combat ship, and USS Alabama (SSBN 731), a nuclear-powered guided-missile submarine.
Navy Band Southeast – Performances and masterclasses with Navy Musicians.
Naval History and Heritage Command – Educational presentations and lesson plans about the deep ties between Alabama and the Navy.
USS Constitution – Demonstrations about the oldest commissioned ship in the Navy.
Navy Expeditionary Combat Command – Educational STEM presentations and fitness demonstrations by technicians, medics and divers.
U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command – Educational presentation on the importance of atmospheric and oceanographic science and the overall value of STEM education to the Navy.
Montgomery Navy Week is one of 15 Navy Weeks in 2024, which brought a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel to a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects. Each year, the program reaches more than 130 million people -- about half the U.S. population. The Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO) coordinates Navy Weeks.
