“Growing up, I learned the importance of a strong work ethic and to remain strong in my faith,” said Dockstader.
Dockstader joined the Navy two years ago. Today, Dockstader serves as an engineman.
“I prayed on the decision, and I believe the Lord led me down this path,” said Dockstader.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
Dockstader serves a Navy that operates far forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation’s prosperity and security.
“We will earn and reinforce the trust and confidence of the American people every day,” said Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations. “Together we will deliver the Navy the nation needs.”
Dockstader has many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during military service.
“I’m proud that I’ve been able to remain true to my faith as a Christian,” said Dockstader.
Dockstader can take pride in serving America through military service.
“It’s not just a matter of serving the Navy or my nation, it’s also an opportunity to serve my God and my family,” said Dockstader.
Dockstader is grateful to others for helping make a Navy career possible.
“I want to thank my wife, Melissa, for her support as my best friend and for always believing in me even when I have my own doubts,” added Dockstader. “I also want to thank my father, Kevin, for providing me with the work ethic and skills I need to fulfill my responsibilities. Most importantly, I want to thank God for how he’s blessed me.”
