Jamieson graduated from Dunnellon High School in 2017.
Jamieson joined the Navy seven years ago. Today, Jamieson serves as an aviation machinist's mate.
“My biggest aspirations were to see the world and to learn what hard work looks like,” said Jamieson. "It was easy sitting down and playing games all day, but to grow we must face challenges. So, I took a more serious challenge."
The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Ocala.
“I was given a chance to realize the importance of respect, discipline and patience.,” said Jamieson. "These values are what carried me through my career. When I failed, I learned and that’s true with social experiences, relentless work environments and throughout my professional career."
According to Navy officials, members of HSM-41 fly and maintain the MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, the Navy’s most advanced rotary wing maritime strike platform. The Navy MH-60R is able to perform many different missions. Some of the most common operations include strikes on maritime targets, submarine hunting and attack, electronic warfare, search and rescue, medical evacuations and supply support.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
Jamieson serves a Navy that operates far forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation's prosperity and security.

“We will earn and reinforce the trust and confidence of the American people every day,” said Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations. “Together we will deliver the Navy the nation needs.”
Jamieson has many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during military service.
“I'm most proud to have made it to my current rank of second class,” said Jamieson. "It was my goal from joining boot camp, and I achieved it within my first four years of being in the Navy. "
Jamieson can take pride in serving America through military service.
“Serving in the Navy to me means that I'm a representative of a better version of who I can become,” said Jamieson.
Jamieson is grateful to others for helping make a Navy career possible.“I would like to thank my stepbrother’s uncle for always showing my friend group a better version of life,” added Jamieson. "Considering we came from not much, having a small glimpse into the finer things of life helped me know what was possible. Out of all of us, I was the one that listened and have way more international life experience than all of them combined. "
