MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Chief Petty Officer Cody Pacher, a native of East Rochester, New York, serving in the United States Navy wishes the Philadelphia Eagles good luck during the 2025 Super Bowl.
"I am rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles because as a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, I do not want to see the Kansas City Chiefs win another Super Bowl," Pacher said. "Anybody but the Chiefs. Go Eagles!"
Pacher graduated from East Rochester High School in 2014.
"East Rochester is a small, close-knit community where I grew up and will always have a place in my heart," Pacher said. "I was raised by my mother, Sherry Lester, and stepfather, Duane Lester, and I would not be the person or sailor I am today if it wasn’t for my small-town roots."
Pacher joined the Navy 10 years and today serves as a master-at-arms aboard USS John Finn, a U.S. Navy warship, operating out of Yokosuka, Japan.
As Pacher and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.
"Serving in the Navy is the best decision I've ever made," Pacher added. "It has opened me up to so many experiences I would not otherwise have, and I am grateful to give back to my country in this way. The Navy has opened up opportunities for my wife and my two kids, and we are forever grateful. We have been stationed at Offutt Air Force, Nebraska; Bahrain; Norfolk, Virginia; and Hampton, Virginia, and we are currently living in Yokosuka, Japan."
