MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Petty Officer 1st Class Natalia Murillo, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, serving in the United States Navy wishes the Seattle Seahawks good luck during the 2026 Super Bowl.

“I am totally a West Coast girl,” Murillo said. “As a Washington State University alumnus, while it’s our rivals’ hometown, I still support Washington State, and I support the Seattle Seahawks. Let’s go Seahawks!”

Murillo, a 1997 Green Valley High School graduate, joined the Navy 14 years ago. Today, Murillo serves as a mass communication specialist with Navy Reserve Support Unit Miami.

This year, the Navy is commemorating its contribution to the nation’s defense as the United States celebrates 250 years of independence.

According to Navy officials, for more than 250 years, the Navy has sailed the globe defending freedom and protecting prosperity.

With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.

As Murillo and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.

“Serving in the Navy gives me a way to give back and serve a greater purpose, all while creating memories and seeing corners of the world I would not have otherwise,” Murillo added. “It’s been an eventful 14 years. Here’s to a few more. Go Navy!”
