MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Fenderson, a native of Sanford, Maine, serving in the United States Navy, wishes the New England Patriots good luck in the 2026 Super Bowl.
“I’ve been a Patriots fan as long as I can remember, and I am excited to cheer them on in the upcoming Super Bowl,” Fenderson said. “Let’s go Pats Nation!”
Fenderson, a 2018 Kennebunk High School graduate, joined the Navy more than seven years ago. Today, Fenderson serves as an aviation ordnanceman with Navy Talent Acquisition Group New England.
This year, the Navy is commemorating its contribution to the nation’s defense as the United States celebrates 250 years of independence.
According to Navy officials, for more than 250 years, the Navy has sailed the globe defending freedom and protecting prosperity.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
As Fenderson and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.
“Joining the Navy was the best decision I’ve ever made,” Fenderson added. “Over the years, I have been blessed to be able to travel the world and meet amazing people throughout the Navy. I am very grateful to be a United States Navy sailor!”
