MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Petty Officer 3rd Class Jailon Good, a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, serving in the United States Navy, wishes the Seattle Seahawks good luck in the 2026 Super Bowl.
“I was a huge fan of the ‘Legion of Boom’ and I loved to watch Seattle play during that time,” Good said. “I’ve been really excited to see them play on the big stage again and I am excited to cheer them on in the upcoming Super Bowl. Let’s go Seattle!”
Good, a 2020 Northwestern High School graduate, joined the Navy five years ago. Today, Good serves as a damage controlman aboard USS Frank E. Petersen Jr., a guided-missile destroyer.
This year, the Navy is commemorating its contribution to the nation’s defense as the United States celebrates 250 years of independence.
According to Navy officials, for more than 250 years, the Navy has sailed the globe defending freedom and protecting prosperity.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
As Good and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.“Serving in the Navy has changed my life and the way I look at the world,” Good added. “It has given me opportunities and experiences I would have only dreamed of. I am grateful to be called a Navy sailor and be able to wear it on my chest and serve my country.”
