Navy Office of Community Outreach response to COVID-19

In accordance with Department of Defense and Department of the Navy policy and guidance, as part of the national effort to mitigate the risk of further transmission of COVID-19, the Navy Office of Community Outreach has made the following changes to its outreach programs:

Navy Weeks
The following Navy Weeks have been cancelled: Tri-Cities, Tenn., Mar. 30 - Apr. 5; Abilene, Texas, May 4-10; New Jersey, May 11-17. For remaining 2020 Navy Weeks, we will continue to work with our participating assets and our community partners to determine each Navy Week's viability and chart the best way forward.

Executive Outreach
Executive Engagement Visits scheduled through May will be cancelled and rescheduled for later in the year when possible.

Media Outreach
NAVCO will continue to share stories, photos and other content featuring America's Navy with media across the country. Navy commands wishing to submit content for sharing with media may send it to navyoutreach@navy.milnavyoutreach@navy.mil>.

Navy Band and special unit support
Band and Color Guard performances at events through May 11 may be cancelled and future support limited. To cancel or obtain an update on support for your event, sponsors should contact the office of the band or special unit considering your request. Requests for future events are still being accepted and should be emailed to bandsupport@navy.milbandsupport@navy.mil>.

Aviation support
Naval Aviation outreach support will be significantly curtailed through May 11. Requests for support at events later than May 11, that are received within required submission deadlines annotated on the DD Form 2535 (see instructions page 4 for guidelines), will be considered for support. Please email requests to aviationsupport@navy.milaviationsupport@navy.mil>.

For general inquiries, please email navyoutreach@navy.mil. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
