Rodriguez joined the Navy five years ago. Today, Rodriguez serves as a personnel specialist.
“I decided to join the Navy because of the numerous opportunities it offers for personal and professional growth,” said Rodriguez. “I believe this experience is an excellent stepping stone for building my character and developing the skills necessary for the career I aspire to pursue. The Navy provides an environment that challenges individuals, and I'm confident it will prepare me for future success in any field I choose."
The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Las Vegas.
“I have come to realize that humility and kindness are essential qualities that can take you far in life,” said Rodriguez. “Treating everyone with respect and compassion has taught me that life is like a wheel—you never know when your paths might cross again. By being a good person, you attract positive experiences and people into your life. I firmly believe that the energy you put out into the world is reflected back to you, and that being kind not only enriches your own life but also has a meaningful impact on others.”
In support of the U.S. Navy Surgeon General, NMFP provides command and control of all subordinate Navy Medicine Readiness Training Commands (NMRTCs), Readiness Training Units (NMRTUs) and assigned operational platforms to ensure they are fully trained, properly manned and capably equipped to be forward deployable and ready to execute operational medicine responsibilities in support of warfighter requirements, according to Navy officials.
With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
Rodriguez serves a Navy that operates forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation's prosperity and security.
“We will earn and reinforce the trust and confidence of the American people every day,” said Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations. “Together we will deliver the Navy the nation needs.”
Rodriguez has many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during military service.
“I'm proud of how quickly I advanced to petty officer second class and grateful for the opportunity to work with colleagues who have taught me so much,” said Rodriguez. “I'm also proud of the work I do, knowing that it directly contributes to the Navy's mission. Being part of something larger and helping to achieve our nation's goals is deeply meaningful to me.”
Rodriguez can take pride in serving America through military service.
“Serving in the Navy gives me a great sense of pride because I’m helping to protect our country and our freedom,” said Rodriguez. “It’s important to me to give back and take on that responsibility. I also want to set a good example for others, both in the Navy and in my community, by showing dedication and living by the values of honor, courage and commitment.”
Rodriguez is grateful to others for helping make a Navy career possible.
“I would like to thank my family back home for their constant support and encouragement,” added Rodriguez. “A special thanks goes to my mom, who never fails to tell me how proud she is of me. Her words inspire me to keep pushing forward and remind me of the goals I want to achieve. Their support means everything to me and keeps me motivated every day.”
