MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Petty Officer 1st Class Cory Fisher, a native of Greenville, Illinois, recently received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for being named 2024 Region West Warrior Challenge Recruiter of the Year for Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Great Lakes.
Fisher, a 2005 graduate of Greenville High School, joined the Navy 18 years ago.
"Being named Region West Warrior Challenge Recruiter of the Year means our work doesn't go unnoticed," said Fisher. "It's important for sailors to know that what we do matters."
NTAG Great Lakes leverages an inspirational culture that informs, attracts, influences and hires the highest quality candidates from America's diverse talent pool. This goal ensures the success of America's Navy and establishes the foundation for sailors to thrive in a life-changing experience.
NTAGs are recruiting districts that make up the Navy Recruiting Region. There are 26 NTAGs across the United States, as well as a Navy Recruiting Reserved command and Recruiting School.
NTAG Great Lakes covers the following areas: Northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
