MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Petty Officer 1st Class Brittany Ann Sellona, a sailor from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, recently received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for being named the 2024 Rookie Recruiter of the Year for Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Great Lakes.
Sellona, a 2010 James Campbell High School graduate, joined the Navy 13 years ago.
In addition to this recognition, Sellona was also awarded the Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal three times during 2024 while serving at NTAG Great Lakes. Sellona also was named the Non-Prior Service Enlisted Reserve (NAT) Recruiter of the Month in 2024 and NAT Recruiter of the Quarter for fourth quarter 2024.
Sellona believes their prior awards led them to being named Rookie Recruiter of the Year for NTAG Great Lakes.
"Being named Rookie Recruiter of the Year is more than a single achievement; it embodies the culmination of countless hours of dedication, the unwavering support of my team and the belief that I could effect meaningful change," said Sellona.
