MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Petty Officer 2nd Class Finch Pettis, a native of Waukegan, Illinois, recently received a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for being named a 2024 Top Recruiter of the Year for Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Great Lakes.
Pettis graduated from Waukegan High School in 2006 and is currently pursuing a degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
"This award signifies not only my personal achievements but also my ability to inspire and connect with individuals while encouraging them to pursue a path of service and honor," said Pettis. "This award motivates me to continue to excel and make a positive impact within the community."

NTAGs are recruiting districts that make up the Navy Recruiting Region. There are 26 NTAGs across the United States, as well as a Navy Recruiting Reserved command and Recruiting School.
NTAG Great Lakes covers the following areas: Northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
