MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Sailors provide the Navy the nation needs from around the world. This means they do not always get to celebrate holidays with their loved ones.
Petty Officer 1st Class Samuel Verdin, a native of San Diego, California, currently serves in the United States Navy aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt, an aircraft carrier operating out of San Diego.
“To me, the holidays mean spending time with family and cherishing each other’s time and company,” said Verdin.
Verdin wants family back home to know they are missed this holiday season.
“I love you so much, and I hope to make more memories and have more stories to tell,” added Verdin.
