MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Petty Officer 1st Class Oralia Brown, a native of Laredo, Texas, serving in the United States Navy wishes the New England Patriots good luck during the 2026 Super Bowl.

“My family always rooted for them, and one day we baked 150 homemade pizzas to sell during the Super Bowl to raise funds,” Brown said. “Patriots fans bought more pizzas that day.”

Brown, a 2018 Hector J. Garcia Early College High School graduate, joined the Navy seven years ago. Today, Brown serves as a logistics specialist with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11.

This year, the Navy is commemorating its contribution to the nation’s defense as the United States celebrates 250 years of independence.

According to Navy officials, for more than 250 years, the Navy has sailed the globe defending freedom and protecting prosperity.

With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.

As Brown and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.

“Serving in the Navy means sacrifice that always pays off in the end,” Brown added.
