CHARLESTON, S.C. - Tiffany Ackerman, a native of Jamestown, South Carolina, received the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Support Person of the Year Award at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina.

Ackerman, a University of South Carolina graduate, is a business financial manager for Afloat Submarine C4I. In her position, Ackerman pushed for maximum consolidation of task orders used for procurement and integration of Common Submarine Radio Room installation kits, and the consolidation saved the program office $1.5 million.

According to Ackerman, the Afloat Submarine C4I Integrated Product C4I is a “second family” to her and she intends to share this award with them. “It means a great deal to me to have my contributions to the IPT recognized at the command level," Ackerman said. "This award reflects the hard work and dedication I strive to continually bring the job every day."

NIWC Atlantic provides systems engineering and acquisition to deliver information warfare capabilities to the naval, joint and national warfighter through the acquisition, development, integration, production, test, deployment, and sustainment of interoperable C4ISR, cyber and information technology capabilities.
