Summerville Native Honored as Manager of the Year at Naval Information Warfare Center

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Brian Diedrick, a native of Summerville, South Carolina, was honored as  Manager of the Year at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina.

Diedrick, a Clemson University graduate, is an NIWC Atlantic budget officer responsible for the command’s budget and funds control. His focus on cross-competency communication resulted in increased understanding and collaboration between technical and support competencies within the organization.

Diedrick looks at this award as a direct reflection of the outstanding efforts of every member of the budget team. “It's great to see the finance competency recognized for the work we do to support the departments, competencies and overall command mission,” Diedrick said.

NIWC Atlantic provides systems engineering and acquisition to deliver information warfare capabilities to the naval, joint and national warfighter through the acquisition, development, integration, production, test, deployment, and sustainment of interoperable C4ISR, cyber and information technology capabilities.
